چکیده
en Un u is em olm re travel Reiber autho Correct characterization of coronary bifurcations by optical coherence tomography (OCT) is essential for evaluation of lesions and treatment. Assessment is limited by the need for acquiring images in both the main branch (MB) and the side branch (SB) and the risk of OCT cross sections not being perpendicular to the true vessel centerline due to imaging wires being nonparallel to the centerline. We present a new method for evaluation of coronary bifurcations by fusion of x-ray angiography (XA) and OCT acquired in the MB. XA in 2 projections was reconstructed in 3 dimensions (3D) and fused

In vivo flow simulation at coronary bifurcation reconstructed by fusion of 3-dimensional X-ray angiography and optical coherence tomography.
High-quality reconstruction of coronary bifurcations is crucial in the evaluation of lesions, dedicated bifurcation stents, and stent techniques. Although 3-dimensional (3D) X-ray angiography restores natural bending of vascular structures, optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides an ultra–high resolution of the vessel wall morphology and stents at baseline and follow-up. We present a new me...

Ostial lesions present unique challenges for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). These lesions are often more calcified, fibrotic, rigid, and more prone to elastic recoil. Intervention on these lesions is associated with higher procedural complications and higher rates of restenosis. Ostial lesions require precise stent placement in the ostium with the absence of side branch compromise. A...

The DEFINITION (Impact of the complexity of bifurcation lesions treated with drug-eluting stents) study has provided a novel classification to evaluate the complexity of coronary bifurcation lesion according to coronary angiography, but angiographic imaging due to its low resolution and inherited limitation may result in an inaccurate adjudication. We used optical coherence tomography (OCT) to f...

Assessment of the peripapillary nerve fiber layer and macular thickness can be determined in ophthalmology using optical coherence tomography (OCT). Decreased nerve fiber layer thickness and macular ganglion cell thickness in optic nerve ischemia have been correlated with visual field loss. OCT allows deep optic nerve head evaluation which helps understand pathophysiology of diseases. Furtherm...

Introduction: Different approaches have been developed to find the position of the internal auditory canal (IAC)in middle cranial fossa approach. A feasibility study was performed to investigate the combination of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and laser ablation to assist a surgeon in a middle cranial fossa approach by outlining the internal auditory ...
